Three
mountaineers run into each other in the Swiss Alps. They are in peak condition, well-equipped and on their way to the Matterhorn.
The glaciers have melted, the valleys are full of mist and the air gets better the higher they climb – not to mention their
stamina. But for these mountaineers, mountain climbing is more than a sport or a passion. It is their ideal, their life’s
purpose and everything that they are. These mountaineers don’t come home to sleep; they have been on the move in the mountains
for as long as they can remember. And it soon becomes evident that a very special set of values and manners rules among them

Teresa Dopler (*1990) received the Peter Turrini Scholarship for her play “Monte Rosa” and her play “Das weiße Dorf” won the dramatists’ award at the 2019 Heidelberger Stückemarkt. She has participated in FORUM Text and the Residency for Emerging Playwrights at the Royal Court Theatre in London.
